Born on September 7th, 1976 to singer/songwriter/actor/comedian Bill Hudson and actress/comedian Goldie Hawn, Oliver Rutledge Hudson was a bright and happy child with a loving family life. Two and a half years later his baby sister, Kate, was born to make the family complete.
With Goldie traveling so often to make movies and their father Bill at home to tend to the children and raise them, things did not work out between the loving couple and they ended up divorcing when Oliver was only 3 years old.
Although Oliver keeps in close contact with his real father, Bill Hudson, he did grow up in the happy home of Goldie and her live-in-love, actor Kurt Russell, whom Oliver also considers his father.
All of Oliver's parents have been very supportive of his career choices. "Its inevitable", Oliver said in a recent US magazine article, "your mother is in the business, your father is in the business, you, most likely, will be in the business."
Joined by his very successful sister, Kate Hudson, Oliver is also gaining recognition as an artist in his own right. He started out as a production assistant working on such movies as "Fathers Day" (1997) and "Executive Decision". He later switched to acting, taking on a bit role in a remake of "The Out Of Towners" starring Goldie Hawn and Steve Martin, playing their son Alan Clark. Other movies followed with the most recent being "My New Best Friend", to be released in April of this year.
Besides acting and doing some work behind the scenes, Oliver also co-owns a production company with his sister Kate, mom Goldie and stepfather Kurt called "Cosmic Entertainment".
With his handsome good looks and obviously natural talent, Oliver faces a certain bright future in the uncertain world of show business!
